Valley of Elah

The best view of the valley is from the hilltop of Azekah.  This strategic city was wisely fortified by Rehoboam, and it was one of the last cities to fall to the Babylonians in the invasion of Judah in 586 BC.

It is always an amazing experience to visit the sites of some of the best known biblical stories taught, such as the Valley of Elah. The valley of Elah is a well-known Christian location as it is where young David battled Goliath and won with nothing more than rocks and slingshot. 1 Samuel Chapter 17:1-11
